EAST OF NASHVILLE

 

East of Nashville is a trio that plays a unique blend of Country, Gospel and Pop using instruments normally associated with Bluegrass music. The result is a program of familiar music presented in a fresh and entertaining way.

 

 

Jim Underwood

 

Jim has been performing his often humorous and at times thought provoking material at coffeehouses, festivals, and a host of other venues in New England for twenty years. Besides his share of the lead vocals, he plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, 5-string banjo, harmonica, bass and occasionally percussion. A songwriter and published author he lives in Connecticut with his wife and daughter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ed King

 

Ed brings distinctive lead vocals along with solid guitar, bass and percussion to the group. His enthusiasm and good humor are mainstays of the group. His musical influences are country, country and occasionally country. A master carpenter specializing in building custom staircases he lives in Springfield with his wife, son and daughter.

 

 

Jim Lenn

 

Jim Lenn’s tight harmonies, not to mention his lead vocals and harmonica solos add the signature dimension to the group’s sound. He and Ed rotate between guitar, bass and percussion. Jim works in the music industry for a major distributor and lives in Connecticut with his wife, son and daughter. A grown daughter and a precocious granddaughter live nearby.
